Tissue Box Flower Dragon

I have a cold, which is probably how I came
to be drawing patterns like the ones on the
side of a tissue box. They're really intricate and
beautiful. I noticed the shapes were similar to
the loops and swirls of the chinese dragony-thing
I doodled on the page before:

So then I put them together, for real!

Father's Day card

The terror of imminent, inevitable
tickle torture. I liked the line work a lot,
the painting didn't come out as good.
Wish I scanned it. I was looking at
a statue of Poseidon for reference.

Fin #5

This time I'll include the steps of my process.
First, my photo reference:

And my drawing. This time I worked
on watercolor paper, the back of something
old. Worked out good. and I did a more
detailed drawing. I also added some lillies
for compositional purposes.

Halfway painted:

And the final product:

*6/7: went back in and darkened
some areas.

Quadricep

Another finnish dude. This one
is a military sort.

Tracy creek

When I was in NYC I bought a little kid's water color
set. With that and my mini spray bottle, I could take
a little color with me in my back pocket, for sketching
purposes. Yesterday I took them down to the creek.
There is no better place to watercolor than sitting on
a big, flat, sunny rock in the middle of a creek.

And here are sketches from NYC, two views from
central park, and one at 49th and 10th.
