Fin #3

Well, better than the last one.
Working bigger was good, but
working on a crappy cardboard
surface was a mistake. Didn't
take the paint very well.

Another one.

So, apparently, these guys are Finnish.
And this one went on a Safari.

Need to work bigger. I don't like little tiny
brushes and my detail is all muddled.
I tried mixing dish soap with the paint...
I'm not sure if it did anything. Perhaps slows
the drying?

Painting practice.

I found a nifty book in the discard section
below Wallace Library--it seems to be a sort
of catalogue, or a who's-who of russian (?) rich folks.
It's full of black and white photos and information.
Of course it's all in russian (maybe?), so I don't
really understand the exact nature or purpose
of the book.

The title is SUOMEN VALOKUVAAJAT (1842-1920).

Lost cat.

Well. Sort of a doodle, I suppose.
I've been drawing cats this quarter--I'll show you some more soon.

flyers for The Indras

I'm working on some illustrations for a local
Rochester band, The Indras. They sound pretty sweet,
check 'em out:

Here's a grasshopper and the sun.
They liked this first one a lot, and asked me to do some more!

...and here is the first of the "more."
More to come, I imagine.

Green thumb sucker.

Now with corn.
